THE CATALYST
Outside the window: five lanes of traffic. Four more lanes across the street. Tram lines. Construction cranes in the sky. And Albert Park right next door—home of the Melbourne F1.
Double-glazing the windows to block the chaos would cost thirty grand. Finding a good pair of earplugs seemed like the rational alternative.
It wasn't.
Foam fell out in the middle of the night. Wax was unhygienic. Reusables caused physical pain after an hour. And they all looked terrible, awkward to insert and embarrassing to wear around houseguests.
Starting an earplug company was never the plan. Finding a way to turn down the noise was.
THE GEOMETRY PROBLEM
The industry was forcing a round peg into an oval hole. Look at a standard earplug—it is a perfect circle. But the human ear canal is an oval.
The solution required a complete redesign.
The patented Blareban design features a uniquely engineered tip that more naturally matches the ear canal's oval shape than standard round earplugs.
No creases. No sharp edges. Less pressure. More comfort.
